Who are we?

Boogie Babes is run by Lisa McCann, a professional dancer and performer who is now based in Rastrick, West Yorkshire.

It was founded at the beginning of 2008 after Eliza McCann (the original Boogie Babe!) was born. Lisa decided to give up life as a performer and concentrate on teaching.

Lisa trained at Performer's College and has sung and danced all around the world. Butlins, Center Parcs and Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines all feature on her CV and she has choreographed numerous hotel and theatre shows throughout the UK.

She has qualifications from the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (I.S.T.D) is CRB checked and carries full Public Liability Insurance.

Lisa does still perform and sings at weddings and events for entertainment company Get Wed.

Her aim is to ensure her Boogie Babes and Limelight Theatre School classes have a friendly atmosphere, welcoming children and adults of all abilities.

Boogie Babes parties are run by Lisa and friend Samantha Priestley.

Before becoming a mum, Sam trained and worked as a solicitor. Now, as a Guide leader for over 15 years, she organises weekly sessions for girls aged 10 to 14. She also ran Krafti Kidz, an arts and crafts themed activity for the under fives. When not working with other people's children, she relaxes at home with her three year old twins!
